This trip is co-run by Sam Ellis of Rapid Descent and Billy Lo (Level 5 Kayak Coach). You’ll also have the opportunity to earn the PUK Advanced Whitewater Safety Award or White Water Safety, and for those meeting the standard, the White Water Award or Progressive White Water Award.

This trip is offered in Canoe or Kayak. With countless rivers to explore, this weekend is tailored to your needs, whether you’re looking to build confidence on grade 2 rivers or master grade 3 lines with precision. The weather will dicate our choice of rivers, but you can expect to paddle some classics like the Lune, Greta, and Leven. For those who meet the standard, there’s the opportunity to gain the White Water Award or the Progressive White Water Award. This weekend is all about challenging yourself, building technique, and enjoying the thrill of the river.

A full descent of the Medway canoe trail from Tonbridge to Allington Lock on Canoe, Kayak or SUP. The Medway is the only multi day river in the South East at 33.7km long taking in some brilliant country side and exhilarating canoe shoots. Your guide will always keep you safe whilst giving you top tips to complete the journey. A true adventure to tick off!

Starting in the heart of Braemar, we’ll load our canoes and set off on an unforgettable self-supported 4-day journey down the Royal Dee to Aberdeen.
Over four incredible days, expect a thrilling mix of Grade 1–2 white water, with the occasional Grade 3 rapid, all set against some of Scotland’s most spectacular mountain scenery. This is more than just a paddle — it’s a true wilderness adventure, combining stunning landscapes, great food, wild camping, and unforgettable camaraderie.
As we descend the river, we’ll wild camp along its banks, making this an authentic expedition experience perfect for paddlers with some white water canoe experience who are ready to push themselves further.
You’ll be fully supported throughout the trip in a friendly and encouraging environment, with expert coaching to help you confidently tackle the rapids in fully loaded expedition boats. If there’s anything you’d rather not run, every rapid can be portaged, so you can still enjoy the full journey and sense of achievement.
Not quite sure your skills are where they need to be? No problem — we can also offer canoe coaching before the trip to help you build confidence and arrive ready for the adventure.
